Our smallest Multiphase Pump (27.03.2008)

The MSL Series: Attraktive Price – best cost-value ratio

The MSL is a fully developed multiphase pump, designed to transport untreated wellstream,
i. e. oil, gas and its associates through one single pipeline.

System Description

  • The MSL Pump is especially developed for:
  • Single well applications
  • Wells with low capacities in remote or separated areas
  • Marginal oil fields
  • Brown field revitalisation

Advantages of Using MSL Multiphase Technology

  • Increasing well-production by decreasing well-head pressure
  • Protection of the lift systems because of the decreased wellhead pressure
  • Centralization of many wells in one gathering station
  • Connect marginal wells and fields to the production flowline system, and add: Tie in of casing annulus gas to increase hydrodynamic liquid in the wellbore

Pump Design Features

  • Cartridge design for easy and fast track maintenance
  • The Cartridge includes all wear parts
  • GVF up to 100 % continuously
  • Capacities from 1 m³/h to 130 m³/h

Characteristics:

  • Small unit
  • Short pay-back time
  • Capable of heavy slugging
  • Frequent and long gas periods are possible
  • Capacity depending on speed, not on gas content
  • Low power consumption
  • Process flexibility due to variable speed operation
  • Very robust
  • Maintenance friendly

Applications

Exxon Mobil – Germany

Field Characteristics:

No. wells:                     1
Lift System:                  Sucker rod pump
Differential Pressure:   9 bar/130 psi
Mixed capacity:            189 BPD/30 m³/d
GVF:                             93 %
Medium Temperature:   59-68 °F/15-20 °C

With the installation of an MSL Pump the impact on the-down hole equipment was decreased. In the past the sucker rod pump transported the entire fluid up to the surface and further through a flowline with a length of 20 km to the separator. The main reason for installing this pump was a production increase of up to 25 %!

Penn West – Canada

Field Characteristics:

No. wells:                   16
Lift System:                Sucker rod pumps
Suction pressure:       147 psi/10,2 barg
Discharge pressure:   168 psi/11,6 barg
Mixed capacity:           944 BPD/150 m³/d
GVF:                           85 %
Temperature:              41-45 °F/5-7 °C

The MSL Pump increased the production of this marginal field by 30 %, resulting - in an extremely short.
